Gentle Pathways was founded in 2009 by Annette Barber. She is dedicated to offering the highest quality holistic wellness services to her clients.
Annette has always had an interest in health care and in helping others. She graduated from Nazareth College with a BS in Biology and continued her education in graduate studies of Biochemistry at the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology. She became interested in natural healing in the early 1990’s due to health issues in her family. She began working at a wellness center in 2004 and has been immersed in natural health modalities ever since.
Between 2004 and 2009 Annette furthered her education by attending classes and seminars in BioEnergetic medicine, completed her Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP) training from the Trinity School of Natural Health including advanced certifications in Homeopathy, General Nutrition, Balancing Hormone Health Through Nutrition, Reams Level 1, Face, Tongue and Nail Analysis and Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self Help. She also received a certification in Lymphatic Decongestive Therapy with the Photon Sound Beam device and completed Foundational Level training as a certified Colon Hydrotherapist. In April 2012, Annette received additional certifications in the Advanced Art of Colon Hydrotherapy and in ColoLAVAGEsm, an alternative preparation for endoscopic screenings such as colonoscopy. Annette holds certifications in colon hydrotherapy from both I-ACT (International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy) and GPACT (Global Professional Organization for Colon Therapy). In 2015, Annette completed her training as a Digestive Health Professional from the Food Enzyme Institute.
Annette considers colon hydrotherapy to be a supportive therapy for many holistic wellness programs and collaborates with a number of the local functional/integrative medical professionals as well as a number of gastrointestinal doctors. She looks forward to assisting you on your journey to vibrant health.
